What? Constable Hickman cracking down on drunk drivers?

Am I crazy or what? No offense to the officers doing a great job getting drunk drivers off the road, but Ron Hickman in charge of such action? He wrote a letter to the parole board to get the drunk driver (Donald Fincher, Jr.) who killed my late husband (Deputy Constable Scott Claborn) out of prison. There is even a rumor circulating that he is trying to get a pardon from the governor for this drunk driver. I'm going to get very upset if I find out that is not a rumor but actually true. Here is the link to the Houston Chronicle article about this: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nb/spring/news/6171500.html

If you are as outraged about this as I am, then do something about it. Sometimes the right thing to do is not the easiest, but it has to be done.

Magnolia Tribune article

Thank you to the Magnolia Tribune for writing such a wonderful article. However, I should point out that Constable Hickman once again lied. At no time was I in any discussions with him and the Finchers to start a public awareness program. In fact, the Constable does not talk to me at all. Another case in point...he claims he willingly helped us in all our lawsuits. Bullshit! He had to be subpoened in both the lawsuits and forced to testify. In fact, one of the two lawsuits was Harris County suing me because they claimed Scott did not die in the line of duty!! The other lawsuit, the wrongful death lawsuit, finally ended in May 2008, and that is when all of this garbage came out. In addition, we have yet to see one penny of the judgment we received against Donald Lee Fincher, Jr.

Please help us

For anyone just following this blog and not commenting, PLEASE post your opinions. Constable Ron Hickman started this fight the day he used his office to help Scott's killer. All I am doing is cleaning up the mess and making sure justice is done. As of today, Ron Hickman is under investigation by the Attorney General's office and the Harris County DA's office (or so I'm told). I'm hoping that he still doesn't have connections in the DA's office to get him out of trouble. Also, there are several news agencies out there compiling their own investigations. This is not going to go away this time. I WILL NOT SHUT UP UNTIL JUSTICE IS DONE. And for all of you good Pct. 4 deputies and employees...I stand behind you 100%. It is only your management that I have a problem with. There are some very good employees who are being bad mouthed, but I know you are good employees. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't the easiest thing. I'd rather be able to work my butt off for the right thing so I can look at myself in the mirror everyday.

I think the letter says it all!

My name is Paula Claborn Henderson, and I am the widow of Deputy Constable Frank Scott Claborn (EOW 2-19-04). I found out in May 2008 that rather than support my late husband, Constable Hickman's own deputy, he chose to write a letter to the parole board on his killer's behalf. Sickening, isn't it? Not only that, but he is also the campaign treasurer of Patricia Fincher Harless. Scott's killer was Donald Lee Fincher, Jr. Notice any similarities? When interviewed by Channel 2 News in Houston, the assistant DA said that Constable Hickman supported Scott's killer getting probation!!!!!! I need help desperately. I made a promise to my son that I would seek justice for his father, and that includes everyone who worked behind the scenes to sabotage the justice system. If you know anything at all about this situation, please feel free to post it on this blog. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, then please contact the DA's office directly. Thank you so much for anything you can do to help. I promise you will remain anonymous.
