What? Constable Hickman cracking down on drunk drivers?

Am I crazy or what? No offense to the officers doing a great job getting drunk drivers off the road, but Ron Hickman in charge of such action? He wrote a letter to the parole board to get the drunk driver (Donald Fincher, Jr.) who killed my late husband (Deputy Constable Scott Claborn) out of prison. There is even a rumor circulating that he is trying to get a pardon from the governor for this drunk driver. I'm going to get very upset if I find out that is not a rumor but actually true. Here is the link to the Houston Chronicle article about this: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nb/spring/news/6171500.html

If you are as outraged about this as I am, then do something about it. Sometimes the right thing to do is not the easiest, but it has to be done.

What can we do to help? I was told by my husband, who was a friend of your husbands, that Mr. Hickman did not even respect you enough to come out of the capital to attend the reading of Scott's name for addition to the wall in Austin. (He is no longer employeed by PCT4, praise the Lord!)

Protest, make phone calls, write letters, send e-mails. Whatever you have to do. Thank you so much for the encouraging words.
